Parallel Imports

Please note that some of the products offered by the Lightly Darling store are classified as parallel imports. These products are 100% genuine products produced in and imported from South Korea. Parallel imports are sold legitimately in South Africa and are suitable for use in this country. They should not be confused with counterfeit goods. Read below to understand what a parallel import means.

We strive to be an approved dealer for our brands however some of the products can be offered to our clients at more competitive prices when sourced directly from abroad and imported directly.

Each product will be clearly marked if it is a parallel imported product. ​

What is a parallel import?

A parallel import is a 100% genuine product. It is not to be confused with counterfeit. 

​

A parallel import is imported from another country without the direct permission or agreement with the the original manufacturer or intellectual property holder. If for example, the original manufacturer sells it's products to a wholesaler who in turn sells it on to a company that imports it into their country without agreement with the original manufacturer, this is classified as a parallel import.  

 

The original manufacturer or licensed importer is not held liable for any warranty claims. Any warranty claims will be covered by Lightly, Darling Store in accordance with our Returns Policy.
